|About the Book|
Instead of my bio, how about if I list some of my favorite books and/or plays I have read over the decades: Hunger by Knut Hamsun, Double Indemnity and The Postman Always Rings Twice by James M. Cain, I was Dora Suarez by Derek Raymond, They Dont Dance Much by James Ross, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, The Madness of a Seduced Woman by Susan Fromberg Schaeffer, Long Days Journey Into Night by Eugene ONeill, Ham On Rye by Charles Bukowski, Post Office by Charles Bukowski (most of his short stories as well- in fact, the greatest short story writer I have ever read)- A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King, enjoy reading the plays of August Strindberg for the humor- The Maltese Falcon by Dashiel Hammett, The Last Good Kiss by James Crumley, Night of the Iguana (film and play) by Tenn. Williams- Man With the Golden Arm by Nelson Algren- I could go on and on. Im a reader, I love books. Always have. Will read anything thats well written, except bodice rippers. Erotica is fine, as I have written my share of graphic sex scenes, but phony/fake b.s. love stories? No, thanks. On the other hand, an original love story like Buffalo 66 (that was a film by Vincent Gallo) absolutely! Terrific film. I cant leave out John Steinbecks Of Mice and Men- Jack Ketchum is another favorite, so is Mark SaFrankos Hating Olivia. This only skims the surface. I cannot leave out John Kennedy Tooles masterful comedy A Confederacy of Dunces, et al.
